Fiesta Forever Card

We are halfway through the week, and I think that calls for a fiesta!  Well, a fiesta themed card anyway ;)
This card was really quite simple to make.  Papers are from DCWV's Fiesta Forever stack.  I used GMD Party Banners Dies and GMD Stitched Rectangle dies as well as GMD Beach Party enamel dots.  The sentiment was fussy cut from the paper stack and popped up with foam tape.  Other adhesives used on this card were ATG and Scotch Tacky glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Lace Heart Baby Card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today I am sharing a card that features the GMD Lattice Heart dies.  When I saw those, I knew they would make a lovely baby card!

I used pattterned papers from DCWV's Peri & Peach stack.  I added a white paper doily behind the die cuts.  The accents on this card were GMD Soft Pink pearls and white crinkle ribbon.
I used GMD Stitched Rectangle Dies for the background paper.  The sentiment was stamped in a dark blue ink and accented with three soft pink pearls.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

High Heeled 40th Birthday

Hello all!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  Today I am sharing a 40th birthday card.
This started out with the shaped princess slipper ribbon card from JGW Off To The Ball, but since I wanted to have a larger card, I didn't use the layer to make the shaped card base.  I simply glued it to a 5x7 card base.  The papers I used are from DCWV's All Dressed Up, Glitzy Glitter, and Metallic stacks.  The ribbon is crinkled seam binding.
I used the nested scalloped circle cuts from SDS Fun In The Sun and added a 40 in my cutting software to the top circle.  Those layers were popped up with foam tape.
Here is a look at the set that I used:

Love Wedding Card

Happy Saturday!  Do you ever keep so busy blogging about cards that you need to post that the ones you don't make for a DT don't get posted for a long time?  Well, this is one of those cards!  I made this for a very dear friend that got married in May.  Her wedding colors were purple and lime.
The patterned papers I used are from DCWV's Lilac Love stack and the lime papers are from K & Company.  The square doily and rose dies are unbranded ones from eBay.  I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches' We Connect stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  For embellishments, I used GMD Succulents enamel dots and Lime Grapesicle Trendy Twine.  Adhesives on this card are ATG, Scotch foam tape, and Zig 2-Way glue.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Christmas Angel Card

Hello all!  We made it to another Friday, Woohoo!  Today I am sharing a Christmas card that I recently created.
All the dies I used on this card are from Scrapbook Outlet.  The gold layer (DCWV's Glitzy Glitter stack) was die cut with the GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die.  The white layer (DCWV's Whites 6x6 stack) was first die cut with a GMD Stitched Rectangle die, then I used the GMD Christmas Angel die and GMD Cut In Cut Out Star die to cut out areas of the white embossed paper so the gold would shimmer through.
The finishing touches were some Totally Red Trendy Twine, a green Glitzy Glitter star cut from the GMD Cut In Cut Out Star die, and two GMD Patriotic Sparkle enamel dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Sailboat Card

Happy Thursday! I am sharing this sailboat card on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I started out with papers from the DCWV Coastal stack.  The ship stamp is from Victorine Originals and I used Ranger Adirondack Denim ink to stamp it.  I added gray enamel dots in the top right corner.
I wrapped In The Navy Trendy Twine around the card front, added a sentiment to a small tag and finished the card off with a bow of In The Navy Trendy Twine at the top of the tag.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Remember Me Card

Hello all! Happy Wednesday. Today is my day to post on the Victorine Originals blog.
I created this card using the angel wings stamp from the VO Wings set.  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then die cut a circle out of the center using a GMD double stitched in & out circle die.  I took the inside circle and shaded the feathers using Spun Sugar Distress Ink as a watercolor.  Once that dried, I splattered the circle with Black Soot and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks.  Out of that inner circle, I also die cut a heart from the center using a GMD heart die.  I adhered the circle back to the center of the card with ATG, but popped the heart up with foam tape for more dimension.
A bow of Totally Pink Trendy Twine was at the base of the heart die cut.  I stamped the sentiment which can also be found in the VO Wings set and added three enamel dots from the GMD Sophisticated collection.
Here is a close up look at the VO Wings set.

Remember, we have our Wings challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

Minecraft Happy Birthday~DCD Guest Designer

Hello all!  Today I am a guest designer on the Die Cuttin Diva's blog.  Head on over there to see all the other DT creations and to participate in their BIRTHDAY challenge!  This is what I created for inspiration:
I started by making the background using scraps of cardstock.  I layered them to be reminiscent of Minecraft world layers.  I then embossed the background with a folder that had squares on it.  I tied Chocolate Truffle and Limeade Trendy Twines around that background layer.  The focal point banner and words were created using unbranded die cuts from eBay and the Minecraft Steve head was a svg file I created and cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  I added sequins in the bottom corner with Glue Dots for a finishing touch.
Since I have 3 boys and they get invited to birthday parties, I decided to make several more of these cards!
So what are you waiting for?  Head on over to the Die Cuttin Diva's blog and enter in their "Birthday" challenge today!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Rainbow and Clouds Card

Good morning all!  Today I have a fun and cheery card to share with you.
This card revolves around the GMD stitched cloud border dies set.
I used those dies to cut clouds out of white cardstock and vellum.  I added various sequins to the clouds using glue stitch squares from Glue Dots.
The rainbow was created with circles of varying diameters.  The largest size was 3" and they decreased in .25" increments.  I tucked it between white and vellum cloud layers.  The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink with a Heidi Swapp stamp.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Apple For The Teacher Card

Good morning!  This week my boys started school and one of them had a teacher whose birthday was on Thursday, so I made her this card.
The card is created from a svg file from SVG Attic's JGW Apple Dandy set.  I used DCWV's Grade School stack for the patterned papers.
The apple and sentiment are popped up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Pink and Main's Birthday Wishes stamp set.  The embellishments  I used were Lime Licorice Trendy Twine and GMD Watermelon enamel dots.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Victorine Originals Challenge #9 ~ Wings

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the Victorine Originals blog with the theme of "Wings". Here is what I created for inspiration!
I started by creating the background for the bird cages with Canson XL Watercolor paper and used Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac, Mustard Seed, and Worn Lipstick with my aqua brush to watercolor.  I waited for that to dry then stamped the Victorine Originals Bird Cages stamp using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my stamp tool.  I carefully trimmed the stamped image apart and layered it on black cardstock, then adhered it to my card base.
The sentiment is from the V.O. Elegant Sayings stamp set.  The enamel dots are from GMD Sunset colors.
Here is the wonderful inspiration board for the current challenge:
Head on over to the Victorine Originals blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s that follow the above theme and/or color scheme. They do not have to use Victorine Originals stamps on them. We can't wait to see what you create!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Shaped Heart Card

Hello all!  I am sharing a shaped heart card with you today.  I started out by making the card base using the largest GMD Big and Little Pierced Chain Heart die.
I layered that with a GMD Lacey Doily die cut and two die cuts of the smallest GMD Big and Little Pierced Chain Heart die.  I wrapped Krazy For Kraft Trendy Twine around the front, added a small sentiment on a tag and a key charm.  The finishing touch was two GMD Rose Garden Enamel Dots on the small heart.  The papers I used are from the 6x6" Love You pad from The Paper Studio.

Grapevine Card

Hello everyone!  We made it halfway through the week :)  Today I have this grapevine card to share with you.
The dies that I used are GMD Grapevine die set and GMD Up & Down In & Out Cut Square die set.  The patterned papers are from DCWV's Bouquet De Fleur stack.  I inked around the outside of the grape die cuts with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.  The outside purple frame layer is popped up with foam tape to create a shadowbox effect for the inside area of the card.
This beautiful scripture verse stamp is from Verve Stamp's Faith Medley set.  I stamped it using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my Hampton Art Stamp Press.  The only embellishment I used on this card was three enamel dots from the GMD Tropical Island colors.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Back To School Projects

Hello all!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  With school starting tomorrow, of course I had to go with that theme!
First up, I made the 16 count crayon box file from JGW Back 2 School which fit a delicious homemade peanut butter M&M cookie in a snack sized ziploc bag perfectly!  (The recipe for the cookies can be found HERE if you are interested!)  I tied Midnight Trendy Twine around the boxes.
I made cards using coordinating paper from DCWV's  Grade School stack.  The two pencil cards are for my older boys who will be going into 2nd and 5th grade.  That file is also from JGW Back 2 School.  I added pink enamel dots from GMD Beach Party dots.  The panel I wrote on is actually the negative cuts from the window opening on the crayon boxes.
My little guy is going into Jr. Kindergarten this year during the afternoons, so I made a different card for him.  The file for the apple card is from SDS Gearing Up 4 School.  This card has a bow of Midnight Trendy Twine and enamel dots from GMD Watermelon colors.
