Outdoors Graduation Card

I know that several graduations are over now, but I still wanted to share the card that I recently made for a graduate who LOVES all things outdoors.  This definitely isn't your traditional graduation card!
I used papers from DCWV's Luxe Lodge stack (available in Michaels stores).  The stamps is one I had purchased at Hobby Lobby years ago.  I distressed the edges of the sentiment layer.  I added gray netting ribbon, Totally Black Trendy Twine, and three silver brads for embellishments.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

DCWV's May Card Sketch

This month's DCWV stackaholic challenge is almost over, but you still have time to participate in it!  I created this card based on the card sketch.
I used the gorgeous papers in the Watercolor stack.  I stamped a sentiment on the oval and popped the oval up with foam tape.  For embellishments, I cut out a few of the flowers from the stack, added sequins and a bow of Totally Black Trendy Twine.
And if you want to play along with the challenge, you have until the May 31st!  Here is the card sketch:
And they also have a layout sketch...

Trendy Twine ~ Memorial Day Quilt Card

Today a few of my Trendy Twine sisters and I have Memorial Day projects up on the Trendy Twine blog.  Stop over there for even more inspiration!  Here is what I created using Totally Red and In the Navy Trendy Twines.
I had been inspired by this "quilt" card design a couple of years ago and FINALLY got around to making it!  I knew it was going to be a favorite of mine, so I actually made a SVG design for it so I wouldn't have to bother with cutting all those angles.  The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation stack.  I embossed the top panel with Cuttlebug's Script Text embossing folder.
The Totally Red and In the Navy Trendy Twines were the absolute perfect finishing touch for this card!
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Twine ~ Football Birthday Card

Today I have this card up on the Trendy Twine blog.  I struggle to make masculine cards at times, but this one was so much fun to make!  My inspiration came from the football washi tapes.
The Midnight Trendy Twine was the perfect embellishment and matched the color scheme well.  I wound it in messy circles and adhered it behind the Happy Birthday sentiment.  The leather looking background paper is from DCWV's Treasures stack.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Twine ~ Vintage Father's Day Card

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  I decided to plan ahead and make a Father's Day card.
When I saw this paper from DCWV's Treasures stack I knew I needed to create with it!  The Midnight Trendy Twine coordinated very well with it and I laced it through a silver buckle to add to the masculinity of the card.
I also added Totally Black Trendy Twine at the top of the tag and finished embellishing with two of the inner dots from the Hello Fall Trendy Page Dots.   I love how it all came together!

Nature Themed Father's Day Cards

Good morning, crafty friends!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog and I decided to take some time to work on Father's Day cards.
Since I like to think outside of the box, I took elements from non-Father's Day sets to create these.  It just goes to show that the possibilities are endless with SO many SVG Attic files!

For the first card, I used the acorn and leaf file (supposed to be for on a tile or canvas) from the JGW Enchanted Autumn set and added it to a simple card base.  I cut different elements out of different masculine papers from DCWV's Luxe Lodge stack.  The acorns and leaves are popped up with foam tape.  I kept it simple, only embellishing with a bow of Totally Chocolate Trendy Twine.
The second card is actually a combination of two cards from the JGW Pinecones and Holly Card Kit.  The base, panel and evergreen bough are from the tree card.  I just tilted the tree to make it look like a branch.  The pinecone is from that card in the same set.  I added bronze eyelets to bring out the bronze foil accents in the paper (DCWV's Luxe Lodge stack) and wrapped Totally Chocolate Trendy Twine around the pinecone stem.
The white background paper is from DCWV's Embossed White stack.  The stamp I used is from Kaisercraft.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Graduation Hat Gift Box

Happy Saturday!  Today is my day to post on the Trendy Twine blog.  This month is all about graduations, so I created this sweet gift box to share with you!
I started with a 3x3x3 kraft box and covered the sides with paper from DCWV's Chalk Party stack.  I thought the confetti on it was a lot of fun :)  Then I cut 2  4.5" squares and adhered them to the top of the box to resemble the mortarboard hat.  The tassel is made with Midnight Trendy Twine.
This shot is to show how I cut out a curve on the box so it would assure easy opening!

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Mom Flower Card

In honor of all of the moms out there, I wanted to share these cards with all of you.  Happy Mother's Day!
I used papers from DCWV's Watercolor stack.  The flower card file is free from Bird's Cards and the banner is from Miss Kate Cuttables.
I kept them simple with the only embellishment being the yellow button in the middle.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Floral Cards from SVG Attic

Happy Saturday!  The sun is shining and everything in nature is so beautiful!  For my post for the SVG Attic blog, I decided to create three very different floral cards using multiple sets available at SVG Attic.
Card #1 has an elegant feel to it.  I used the card base and panel from the tree card in JGW Pinecones and Holly Card Kit.
The flowers and greenery are from the box in G is For Gratitude.  I just downsized them to fit on the panel.  I added homemade enamel dots and a bow of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.  The papers I used are DCWV's Bouquet De Fleur and Embossed White stacks.
Card #2 has more of a funky feel to it!  Circles, stripes and doodle flowers make this card fun for any occasion.  Once again, I used the card base and panel from the tree card in JGW Pinecones and Holly Card Kit.  The pennant is from the JGW Crystal Winter set.  It is the shape that has the letter "I" on it.  I simple sized it to fit on the panel behind it.
Both of the flowers are from SDS Flourished Spring.  I finished the card off with a tie of crinkled seam binding ribbon.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Peachy Keen and Embossed White stacks.
Last, but certainly not least, this card has a shabby chic feel to it.  The card base, and layers except for the flower and sentiment banner are from the heart/leaf emblem card in the JGW Pinecones and Holly Card Kit.
That gorgeous flower and the sentiment banner are from the brand new JGW Beautiful Bloom set, with the Daisy Banner card.  To finish this card off I used gold brads, and a bow of white crinkled seam binding.  The papers I used are from DCWV's Happy Day and Embossed White stacks.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day, and a blessed Mother's Day tomorrow to all you moms out there!

Ladybug Card

Hello all!  Today I am sharing a card that I created basically just because.  I wanted to try out the new watercolors that I had gotten from Oriental Trading and this stamp set was just calling my name to use with the paints.  It is called Little Lady Greetings from Unity Stamps.
I had a lot of fun trying out shading.  It turned out to be a perfectly sweet card to send to my oldest sister!
I used Totally Black Trendy Twine at the base of the card along with sequins and some iridescent stickles to add a little pizzazz :)
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
