Monogrammed Rose Oval

Hello all!  Today I am sharing another project with you that is chock-full of DCWV goodness!
I created this monogrammed oval using some of their BRAND NEW products to hit JoAnn Fabrics.  They are so new, that they aren't even available on their website yet!  I started with an oval shape base that is part of a DIY paperie package.  I used brown and gold acrylic paint around the edges to create a faux frame look.  I then went to work forming many paper roses from another DIY paperie package that has 28 sheets of those pre-die cut roses.  Talk about easy peasy!
I added embellishments such as a key, satin ribbon, wooden buttons and pearls to finish the vintage look.  The F was created with patterned paper from DCWV's Fall and Halloween basics stack.  I popped the monogram up with thin foam tape for added dimension.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing what new products DCWV is coming out with!  You can find them in your Jo-Ann stores :)

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Coffee Cup ~ GDT for Fleurette Bloom

Hello all!  I am very excited that I am a guest designer for the talented Fleurette Bloom!  I am so honored that she asked me to work (play) with her files :)
For my project, I wanted to use the Coffee Cup that is in Valentine Be Mine kit.
I used some pretty patterned paper from DCWV's new Happy Day stack. For the flowers and leaves, I used the Lush Flowers kit.  That set of flowers is absolutely amazing!  I can't get over how real and beautiful they all are.  The flower I used on the top is called "Alba".
The roses on the side of the cup are the medium spiral rose.
And here is a close up of the label on the front of the cup.
I also created a simple card to coordinate with the cup.  I resized the Papel Banner 2 from the Dia De Los Muertos set to fit onto an A2 size card.  Once again, I used papers from the same Happy Day stack.  I tied a simple ribbon around it and added a leaf spray from Lush Flowers kit.
I hope you have enjoyed my project for today.  I really enjoyed creating these to share with you.

Crafting With Kids!

Hello crafting friends!  Today I am going to share with you how easy it is to craft with children using files from SVG Attic.  Our county fair was this past weekend, and my 8 year old son wanted to enter things into it.  Of course, we had do do some paper crafting :)  Here is what we made...

He created a tree decoration from the O Christmas Tree set.
We re-sized the basket file in the Leprechaun Chase set to create a nut cup.
He really wanted to make the adjustable pirate hat from the Pirate Party kit!
This fun name card was created from the Construction Party kit.
And last, but not least, he wanted to make the fireman's boot bag from the Little Firechief set.
So, the next time your kids or grandkids are watching you create with paper, ask them if they would like to try!  There are many files that are simple enough that they can join in the fun with :)

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine - Birthday Fishes Card

For my post on the Trendy Twine blog today, I made this punny shaker card. I really had a lot of fun choosing the papers and embellishments to create it!
I used the Nautical Trendy Twine to create a woven frame around the shaker area.  I filled the shaker with sequins, glitter, star buttons and crystal pieces.  The stamp set I used for the fish and the sentiment are from Paper Smooches' Birthday Buddies stamp set.  The papers are from Echo Park's Paradise Beach.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Twine-Beach Bucket Treats

We are in the middle of summer, which means sun filled days and playing in the water :)  For my post on the Trendy Twine blog today, I made this fun bucket filled with treat bags.
I used the Nautical and Limeade Trendy Twines to wrap around the top of the bucket.  I also used the same colors and braided them to create the handle on the bucket.  The cutting file for the bucket is from SVG Attic's Sweet Shop Party.  The tag is stamped with stamps from My Mind's Eye "the sweetest thing" and I also added Skittles to the tag.
For the treat bags, I used the medium candy bags and added toppers that have more Nautical Trendy Twine and die cuts from SVG Attic's Just Beachy collection.
Here is a closer look at all of the bag toppers.

Gerbera Daisy Box

Happy Wednesday morning all!  Today is my day to post on the SVG Attic blog.  For my project, I chose the papers I wanted to use first (from K & Company) and designed my project around those.
I started with the Hexagon Box from SVG Attic's Basic Deep Lid Boxes set.  I absolutely LOVE the versatility of that set!  They make a great base to decorate with endless possibilities.
That doily you see peeking through is from the Raven Quest set.  I simply broke apart the lines of the doily file and deleted the skull and bat cuts that I didn't want.
The daisy is from Watering Wishes.  I inked around the edges and added water drops of glossy accents on it.  The leaves are from the Enchanted Autumn set.
I finished off the box by wrapping some ribbon and Watermelon Taffy and Tickled Pink Trendy Twines around the outside of the lid.  I also placed some sequins on the top for a little sparkle.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Firecracker Boxes

Today I am sharing the two firecracker boxes that I created as part of the display I showed on THIS blog post.  The SVG files I used to create them are from SVG Attic's Festive Fourth set. The blue one is the tall firecracker file in that set.
I used Krazy for Kraft twine as the "wick" of the firecracker.  I simply made it into a tassel, flipped it upside-down and glued it to the top of the box.
I also used Stars and Stripes twine and wrapped it around the center panel several times to add more visual interest.
The red firecracker box was crafted in the same way as the blue one, but it is the medium box from SVG Attic's Festive Fourth set.
I also added a bow on the circle panel with Krazy for Kraft twine. The patterned papers I used for these projects are from The Paper Studio's Vintage Nation stack.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

July 4th Double Cascade Card

Today I am sharing the double cascade card that I created as part of the display I showed on THIS blog post.
For this card, I used SVG Attic's Star Spangled 4th kit. Isn't the design of this card amazing?! I used Krazy for Kraft, Stars and Stripes, and Cranberry Trendy Twines on the firework bursts at the back of the card.
Around the front oval panel, I used Cranberry Trendy Twine and placed a bow of Krazy for Kraft at the center bottom.
Here is a view of the accordian style sides that are fully decorated as well!
And the back is beautiful too!  The twine bow on the center star is Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
