Happy Thanksgiving Card

Happy Thanksgiving all!  What are you thankful for today?  I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband, three fun-loving boys and so many other things to be thankful for!
I created this flourished pumpkin card from SVG Attic's Pilgrim's Prayer set.  LOVE it!  I added Orange Truffle and Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine to it and think it was the perfect embellishment for this card.
That green paper is actually from a printed cork stack by DCWV.  What a neat texture to add to the fall feel of the card!  The stamp is from Cardz TV's Happy Days set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

My Craft Spot Fall Challenge

Today I am a guest designer for the new challenge over at My Craft Spot!  The theme is Thanksgiving/Fall.  This is what I made for inspiration for the challenge.
I used the 6x12 Fall and Halloween stack by DCWV for the card base and their 6x6 Sweater Weather for the layers.  The sentiment is from the Chalkboard Sentiments stamp set by My Craft Spot.
I cut out different leaves from the patterned paper and added buttons for embellishments.  Finally, I wrapped the sentiment layer with Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine.  The different layers are popped up with thin foam tape for extra dimension.
I hope you will take the time to play in the challenge over at My Craft Spot.  We would love to see your wonderful Fall and Thanksgiving projects!  Head on over to My Craft Spot for more inspiration and all the challenge guidelines.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Traditional Christmas Card

Hello again, I am back as a guest designer for My Craft Spot today!
This card is all about Christmas!  I love the bright traditional Christmas colors on the designer paper.  The sentiment stamp is from My Craft Spot's new Merry and Bright stamp set.  I love how it looks like a Christmas tree!  The panel of papers behind the sentiment are popped up with thin foam tape.
The Christmas baker's twine, the large tree brad and the enamel dots all finished off the card nicely.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Christmas Puffy Boxes

I wanted to share the projects I created for the SVG Attic blog hop that I participated in this past weekend.  If you hopped along, you will recognize these boxes as being posted on the SVG Attic blog, but if you didn't see them yet, I invite you to see how I created them!

I used SVG Attic's Puffy Boxes files to create a wide variety of fun gift boxes!
The first one is a cupcake that used the round puffy box from Puffy Boxes.  I added the holly on the top from Winter Fun Photo Props.  The dots on the top are Stickles and I added rick-rack around the middle.  For the cupcake wrapper, I cut strips of paper and scored them every 1/4" then folded back and forth on the score lines and glued it around the box.
The Santa box used the medium Puffy Box.  I cut a thin strip of white and black paper, then added a gold buckle that I cut from the Build A Snowman set.
The reindeer Puffy Box used the short box and the reindeer from Santa's Little Helpers.
This box also is the round puffy box from Puffy Boxes. It is just a simple gift box with pretty patterned paper and the tag is from 12 Days of Christmas.  This would be a fun and easy way to give someone a gift for each of the 12 days of Christmas, just used the tag that coordinates with the right day!  The twine I used is Trendy Twine's Holly Berry.
Last, but not least, I made a snowman by stacking three of the short Puffy Boxes.  I added a hat from the Charmingly Green set, but didn't actually glue it down so the top white box can still be used.  The face and arms are from the Ice Princess Party set.  The nose is a tiny carrot from the Hop To It set.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Farmer Boy Easel Card

If you are looking for the SVG Attic Winter Wonderland blog hop, click HERE.

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created for one of my nephews.  He just turned 9 and is a farm boy :)
The focal point is the stamp that is from Paper Nest Dolls called Farmer Owen.  Truthfully, I don't color images.  I use seem to use die cuts for the main image so this was actually the first time I had colored in a large stamp.  I used prismacolor pencils and I think it turned out pretty good for my first try!  At the right side I added a couple staples and two buttons that are laced with Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine, which happens to be on sale right now!
For the scalloped tag, I used a stamp set and die from My Craft Spot.  You can also see the burlap that I added behind the stamped image for texture.
This is what it looks like all set up!  The papers I used were from The Paper Studio and the stack is called Yee Haw!  The inside sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva's.

Here is the project I created for this hop:
The first element in this set is the jar.  I created the jar itself from the Canning Essentials kit.  I used the Ice Princess Party kit for the 3D snowflake on the top, the tag and the vinyl snowflakes on the sides of the jar.
The sign base was the cupcake holder from the Ice Princess Party kit.
The sign base was created from a label in the Canning Essentials kit.  The words were cut from the Cozy Christmas Captions set.
Finally I created a holder for one of the "snowballs" out of the treat cup that is in the Up For Grads set.

Sled Christmas card

Here is a card that I created using a fun set of papers called Candy Cane Lane by BoBunny.
Aren't those vintage papers so sweet?  The sled die cut is from SVG Cuts.  The twine is from Trendy Twine and is called Lemon Tart.  The be joyful sentiment is from unity stamps.

Vintage Christmas Gift Set

Today I have a wonderful Christmas set to share with you.  I made them using products that I recently received from Oriental Trading Company. Did you know that they had scrapbooking supplies?   I love them!
First, let me start with the card I created.  It is fairly CAS in style.  I wanted the DP and washi tape to be the focal point.  The patterned paper is OTC's Christmas Music paper pack.  The card base is from their Christmas Cardstock.   I used a permanent tape runner to adhere the layers of paper together.
The washi tape was so pretty that I didn't want to cover it up much LOL!  I added the sentiment from My Craft Spot's O Holy Night stamp set and popped it up with Foam Tape.  To finish it off, I added a gorgeous Christmas Brad and a bow of Christmas twine attached with mini glue dots.
Now on to the gift box.  I used more of the Christmas Music paper to create this and I am happy to say that it cut perfectly with my Cameo!  That is a huge thing for me since I use so many SVG files when I am crafting.  The box itself was created from SVG Cut's Maison de Madeline kit.
These gorgeous poinsettia flowers adorning the top were created with files from SVG Attic's Winter Wishes kit.  Aren't they eye-catching?  I used brown chalk ink around the edges to create a more realistic look.
On the other side of the lid is a large white satin bow and a tag with a sentiment from My Craft Spot's Christmas Tiny Tags stamp set on it.  I used more Christmas twine to tie the tag on.
Here is a top view of the lid.  On the top of the knob, I used a bottlecap and placed a circle of the DP in it then used crackle accents on it.  It was the absolute perfect vintage look I was going for!
This is what it looks like opened.
And the gift inside!  Yes, all of the supplies for this bracelet are from OTC too!  I used beads from the Christmas bead bracelet kit as well as Christmas cut crystal beads and placed them on coil memory wire.  To finish off the bracelet, I added a Christmas Tag Charm on each end.
This set will make a wonderful Christmas present for someone very special :)
All of the products that I used from Oriental Trading Company to make this project were wonderful! I would recommend any and all of them to you.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The review of these products is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the products listed above. I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading Co. and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.

Dainty Baby Card

Hello everyone! Today I am a guest designer at My Craft Spot!  I created this dainty baby card since I am going to have a new baby niece to spoil very soon!
I used the 4 inch doily metal die from My Craft Spot with vellum to create the soft background behind the diaper.
The stamps on the tag that I used were from the Tiny Tags stamp set, which is one of my all time favorite stamp sets!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine Fall Foliage

Guess what?!  I am OFFICIALLY part of the Trendy Twine design team!  I started out as a TT Little Sister three months ago, and have been asked, along with Tammy and Melissa, to stay on as part of the regular team.  I am SO excited!!

Trendy Twine is having a new challenge for the month of November with a Fall Foliage theme. Today I am sharing a card I created using that theme!
The card base was made using the Fall & Halloween stack by DCWV.  The tags are from  coordinating DCWV embellishment set.  I used beautiful Orange Truffle Trendy Twine to wrap around the card and create the bow on the sentiment tag.  The stamp is from Marks Finest Papers' Friends stamp set.  I used an SVG file to cut out the green Maple leaf on the tag.
I added three buttons in coordinating fall colors at the bottom and added more twine for the finishing touch.
I hope this has inspired you to create something for Trendy Twine's Fall Foliage challenge! See THIS post for all the details.  Have a wonderfully crafty day!
